Kenneth J. McGrain

Ken McGrain is an experienced Partner at Foley & Smith, LLC (F&S) specializing in research tax credit, depreciation/amortization and environmental issues, energy credits/deductions, and cost segregation studies. He graduated from Loyola College (Baltimore, Maryland) in February of 2007 with an undergraduate degree in Engineering Science and a concentration in Materials Science.

 

Ken has been with F&S for over 13 years. In his time with Foley and Smith, LLC, Ken has managed numerous complex projects with

Middle Market clients and several Fortune 100 companies. He has worked on projects in many different industries including, but not

limited to, financial services, retail, banking, information technology, food and beverage, construction, computer hardware and software development, solar energy, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, premium alloy & steelmaking, defense, and manufacturing.

 

During his 13 plus years with F&S, Ken has both performed and managed staff-team functions on numerous research tax credit, cost segregation, capital/expense review, and depreciation projects. He has managed ERP software development cost segregation projects and he has also performed and reviewed section 179D computations. He prepared and performed quality control reviews on R&D Tax Credit training materials and CPE presentations and materials. Ken has been involved with numerous successful IRS & state audits and issue resolutions.
